We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical to provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-surgical needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to physicians and healthcare providers.
Administer medications, treatments, and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Advocate for patient needs while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize care effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Certifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (preferred).
