JOB SUMMARY
The CT Technologist provides timely diagnostic CT scanning services to inpatient and outpatient populations under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and complex diagnostic CT scanning procedures across various anatomical regions, including but not limited to head/brain, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, and extremities.
• Conduct biopsy and drainage procedures as directed.
• Utilize knowledge of CT system processing, surgical/sterile procedures, studies with and without contrast media, and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and procedure verification.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.

Schedule / Shift
• Shift: 8:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week

Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited AMA school for radiologic technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• State-issued license as a general radiographer.
• Must be able to start IVs.

Certifications
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Experience
• Proficiency in performing routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures.
• Experience with various anatomical CT scans.
• Experience performing biopsy/drainage procedures.

Skills
• Competency in operating CT scanning equipment.
• Knowledge of contrast media administration and associated protocols.
• Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to maintain sterile environments.
• Venipuncture skills for IV insertion.

EMR / Systems
• Experience with Philips CT scanner systems is required, including:
• Philips 128 Ingenuity
• Philips Brilliance 64
• Philips Big Bore 16

Unit / Specialty
• Primarily ED (Emergency Department) environments.

Floating / On-Call
• May be required to float to other areas as needed.

Education: Certification
