JOB TITLE: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

JOB SUMMARY
Provide diagnostic ultrasound services to patients in a critical access facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and obstetrical/gynecological examinations.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Document patient care by maintaining accurate and thorough medical records.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate patient care.
- Adhere to all unit guidelines, policies, and departmental protocols.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and attendance policies.

Schedule / Shift
- Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
- Weekend and On-Call: Includes one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month after working shifts. Approximately 6-8 days of call per month.

Required Qualifications
- Must be proficient in scanning general ultrasound and vascular studies.
- High risk OB experience is preferred.
- Ability to scan exams within the allocated timeframes (30-45 minutes per exam).
- Ability to write clear and concise reports.
- Team player with a professional demeanor.

Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) registry is required.
- Level II OB proficiency is required.

Experience
- OB experience is mandatory.
- Experience with vascular (carotid/venous) scanning is required.
- Experience with abdominal, pelvic, ABIs, small parts, and breast ultrasounds is expected.

- General outpatient and inpatient population requiring diagnostic ultrasound services.

- Ultrasound (2 rooms within a 30-bed critical access facility)
- Outpatient ultrasound (for floating purposes if proficient)

Floating / On-Call
- Must be willing to float to outpatient ultrasound if proficient.
- On-call duties as outlined in the schedule.

General Comments
- Dress Code: Black scrubs.
