Radiology Technologist

JOB SUMMARY
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized radiographic procedures used in the detection of breast cancer. This role requires technical expertise in mammography equipment and quality control while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols.
- Operate mammography equipment, including 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) if applicable.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a safe and comfortable environment during procedures.
- Perform quality control checks on mammography equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
- Prepare and maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care.
- Adhere to radiation safety principles and protocols.

Schedule / Shift
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current state licensure as a Mammography Technologist (if applicable by state).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Certifications
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Mammography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience
- Proven experience as a Mammography Technologist.

Skills
- Proficient in mammography imaging techniques.
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures in mammography.
