JOB TITLE
Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry

JOB SUMMARY
Provide direct and indirect patient care activities within the Medical Surgical and Telemetry units. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care to meet patient needs based on established standards of practice and nursing process.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and identify patient needs.
- Develop nursing care plans in coordination with healthcare team members.
- Implement and document patient care activities.
- Monitor patients, record vital signs, and administer medications.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.

Schedule / Shift
Variable shifts available including days, evenings, and nights. Must be flexible to cover required shifts.

Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.

Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience.
- Experience in MedSurg or Telemetry settings preferred.

Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficient in medication administration and patient monitoring.

EMR / Systems
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is generally required.

Unit / Specialty
Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Floating / On-Call
Willingness to float to other units within scope of practice as needed. On-call duties may be assigned per department policy.

Education: Bachelors Degree
