JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Operating Room (OR) at a fast-paced acute care hospital. This role involves preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting surgeons, and ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

SCHEDULE / SHIFT
Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 6 months current acute care hospital experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Must have Ortho/Joint experience.
- BLS certification.

CERTIFICATIONS
- NBSTA Certification (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
- DORA Certification (Department of Regulatory Agencies - Colorado)

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 months current acute care hospital experience as CST.
- Ortho/Joint experience required.

SKILLS
- Surgical preparation and setup.
- Maintaining sterile field.
- Assisting surgical teams during procedures.
- Instrument handling and management.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy.

EMR / SYSTEMS
Meditech

PATIENT POPULATION
Adult surgical patients.

UNIT / SPECIALTY
Operating Room (OR)

FLOATING / ON-CALL
- Flexibility required for Day/Evening hours as needed.
- On-Call requirements: 1-2 call shifts per week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- The unit features 14 ORs with approximately 70 FTEs.
- Procedures performed include Neuro, Transplants, Ortho/Spine.
- Level I trauma experience is preferred.
- Candidates should be team players with a high level of accountability, expertise, and self-direction.
