JOB TITLE: Radiologic Technologist
JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of independent experience and be proficient in the operation of various radiographic equipment, including DR fixed and fluoro equipment, C-arms, and portable DR units. This role requires a commitment to radiation safety and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures independently and without supervision.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, including DR fixed, DR fluoro, C-arms, and portable DR equipment.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and maintain patient and staff safety.
• Manage patient care during diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in call rotations as assigned.
Schedule / Shift:
• Varied shifts, including day shifts.
• Average of 3 days of call per month.
• No guarantee of hours or time off requests.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of independent experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in the operation of all radiographic equipment to include DR fixed equipment, DR fluoro equipment, C-arms, portable DR equipment.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protocols.
• Must be assigned a dosimetry badge.
• Traveler must arrive on island the Friday prior to the Monday start for HR/EH clearance appointments.
• No RTO will be granted in the first 13 weeks of contract.
Licensure:
• A current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license as a radiographer.
• Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. If not currently in possession of an active State of HI license, must apply upon acceptance of offer.
Certifications:
• A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience:
• Minimum of two (2) years as a radiologic technologist.
• Experience with Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, Philips Fluoro and EPIC preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR, Philips DR, Philips C-arms, OEC C-arms, and Konica DR preferred.
Skills:
• Proficiency in operating various radiographic equipment.
• Independent work capability without supervision.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and protocols.
• Effective patient care and communication skills.
EMR / Systems:
• EPIC (preferred)
• Epic EMR (preferred)
