JOB SUMMARY
Provide technical support and patient care within the cardiac catheterization laboratory. Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional techniques.
• Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab and equipment for procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by the physician.
• Manage and maintain sterile fields.
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment.
• Document patient care activities and procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Schedule / Shift
• 8-hour shifts, 07:30 - 16:00.
• Flexible start and end times may be required.
Call:
• Call rotation with core staff during weekdays.
• Approximately every 3rd weekend call.
• Holidays covered by call rotation with regular staff.
• Estimated 12+ days of call per contract period.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 2 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Licenses: RCIS and/or ARRT.
• EMR / Systems: EPIC for charting.
• Floating / On-Call: May be required to float onsite within skill set. May need to float to sites within 40 miles, especially Franklin, as required during the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with EP procedures, balloon pumps, cardiac cath, and peripheral procedures.
• Prior travel experience.
