JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Traveling OR Scrub Tech for a 13-week assignment.

Unit / Specialty
Operating Room

Schedule / Shift
10 HR DAYS 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Key Responsibilities
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures by preparing the OR, sterilizing instruments, and providing the necessary surgical instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and provide requested instruments, sutures, and supplies in a timely manner.
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and needles according to established protocols.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery.
• Help maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Clean and prepare the operating room after procedures.

Experience
• Experience with orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular skills, urology, and neurosurgery is required.
• Experience with DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, and hysteroscopy pump is required.
• Experience with the following procedures: Ortho, Robotics, Gyn, Uro, Vascular, Endovascular, basic crani/neuro.

Skills
• Proficiency in sterile technique.
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

EMR / Systems
• Altera

Patient Population
• Adult surgical patients.

Floating / On-Call
• No floating required.
• On-call responsibilities include assigned stay late call during the week and occasional Friday/Saturday overnights.
• Holiday call as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Proficiency in assisting with a variety of surgical procedures.

Certifications
• Not specified for Scrub Tech role, but ACLS is required for RNs.
