JOB TITLE

JOB SUMMARY
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients on the medical/surgical unit, adhering to established hospital policies and procedures. Responsible for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and care management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient progress and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Required Qualifications
