JOB TITLE
Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical / Surgical unit. The RN will provide direct patient care, manage patient needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess patient health conditions, including medical history, physical condition, and symptoms.
• Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessments and physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatment.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventative care.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in the patient's medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
Schedule / Shift
• Various shifts available, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
• Current state Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical / Surgical setting.
Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in patient care planning and execution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Skill in administering medications and treatments.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
