JOB TITLE: Travel - MRI Tech
UNIT / SPECIALTY: Radiology - MRI Tech
SCHEDULE / SHIFT: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. This role is responsible for performing MRI scans on patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. The MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment, position patients, and ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform MRI scans according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and address any concerns.
- Position patients correctly and ensure proper immobilization for high-quality imaging.
- Administer contrast media as needed and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Operate MRI equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and sterile environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT(MR)).
- State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (if applicable).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.

CERTIFICATIONS
- ARRT (MR)
- BLS

SKILLS
- Proficient in MRI imaging techniques and protocols.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of MRI safety procedures and contraindications.
- Experience with various MRI coils and equipment.

EMR / SYSTEMS
- Experience with PACS and RIS systems is preferred.
