JOB TITLE: Travel - IR Tech - Interventional Radiology

UNIT / SPECIALTY: Interventional Radiology (IR)

JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a skilled and experienced IR Tech to join our team. The IR Tech will assist physicians in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist physicians with interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments for procedures.
• Operate IR equipment, including GE-BI PLANE.
• Administer contrast media and medications as directed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and condition during procedures.
• Document patient care and procedural information accurately.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control standards.

SCHEDULE / SHIFT:
• Shift: Day Shift
• Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Call Requirements: Monday 4:30 PM - 7:00 AM / Weekends 24 Hours

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• ARRT Certification
• RT (Radiologic Technologist) License
• IR Certification
• CPR-BLS Certification

EXPERIENCE:
• Experience performing all interventional radiology procedures, excluding neuro procedures.

SKILLS:
• Proficiency in operating GE-BI PLANE equipment.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

EMR / SYSTEMS:
• Meditech

PATIENT POPULATION:
• Adult patients requiring interventional radiology procedures.

FLOATING / ON-CALL:
• On-call duties as assigned, including weekdays and weekends.

Education: Certification
