JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg - Days

JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a qualified Travel Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical Surgical experience for a day shift position. This role requires adherence to specific submission requirements and travel distance guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring medical-surgical nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess conditions, and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.

Schedule / Shift
- Days: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
- Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications
- Compact or AL RN License
- BLS Certification

Experience
- 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience required.

Skills
- Proficient in providing direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting.
- Ability to accurately assess patient conditions and develop care plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EMR / Systems
- Cerner experience preferred.

Patient Population
- Adult medical-surgical patients.

Unit / Specialty
- Medical Surgical

Floating / On-Call
- Patient Ratio: 6 to 1

Additional Requirements
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.

Education: Bachelors Degree
