JOB SUMMARY
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist performs a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, provides support for other imaging technologists, and facilitates smooth and efficient patient flow. The technologist demonstrates flexibility by working other shifts and/or at other campuses as needed or required. Responsibilities include basic MRI screening of patients and employees, participating in Quality Assurance (QA), troubleshooting basic maintenance and equipment malfunctions, and resolving issues related to image processing and archiving systems. The technologist is expected to participate in ongoing education and advancements within their scope of licensure. Key Responsibilities
• Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures.
• Provides support to other imaging technologists as needed.
• Facilitates smooth and efficient patient flow.
• Performs basic MRI screening of patients and employees.
• Prepares maintenance and repairs.
• Participates in Quality Assurance (QA).
• Resolves issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
• Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel and follows up.
• Ensures completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in PACS.
• Adheres to PACS downtime procedures as a PACS Superuser and escalates issues as needed.

Schedule / Shift
• Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Multiple shifts available

On-Call
• Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or an equivalent.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification from ARRT or ARMRIT.
• Basic computer experience.

Certifications
• ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification
• BLS (AHA only)

Experience
• 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
• Level I or Level II hospital experience required.

Skills
• Ability to perform routine and advanced imaging procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to participate in QA.
• Ability to resolve issues related to image processing and archiving systems.
• Ability to provide basic MRI screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
