Job Summary
The Certified Nurse Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. CNAs assist patients with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, and ensure a safe, supportive environment in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
  2. Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
  3. Provide emotional support to patients and families
  4. Maintain patient safety by ensuring a clean and safe environment
  5. Assist with medical procedures under nursing supervision
  6. Document patient care accurately in medical records and electronic health systems
  7. Transport patients between units or facilities as needed
  8. Support nursing staff with clinical and administrative tasks

Required Qualifications
  1. Completion of an approved CNA training program
  2. Active state CNA certification
  3. Strong knowledge of basic patient care procedures
  4. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff
  5. Physical ability to lift and move patients and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience in hospital or long-term care settings
  2. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  3. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Certifications
  1. Active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) credential
